China Opens The World Longest Bridge

The bridge is 42 km (26 miles) long, Xinhua News Agency reported. Picture taken on June 27, 2011.


The Third (3rd) Mainland Bridge is about 11.8km and the longest of three bridges connecting Lagos Island to the mainland. The other bridges are Eko and Carter bridges.

The Third Mainland Bridge apart from being the longest bridge in Nigeria is also the longest bridge in Africa.
