Nigeria Under-23 captain Haruna Lukman has signed a five-year deal worth €1.5million with Dynamo Kiev.
The former Monaco star concluded his contract with the Ukrainian side on Thursday. He is leaving the French outfit after they were relegated last season.
Kiev have won 13 league titles in the Ukrainian Premier League with their last coming in 2009.
They have former European footballer of the year Andriy Shevchenko among their list of star names. Two Nigerians, Frank Temile and Yusuf Ayila also play at the club.
Haruna is presently leading Nigeria’s U23 side in a qualification bid for the London 2012 Olympics as well as the All Africa Games to be staged in Maputo, Mozambique in September.
The 21 year-old was captain of Nigeria’s title winning 2007 Fifa U17 World Championship team in South Korea.
He also played two matches at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. His contract with the French side ends on June 30.
