Breaking: Japan Hit by 7.4 Earthquake, Tsunami Warning Issued

A 7.4-magnitude earthquake hits Japan on Thursday, April 7, 2011, in which a tsunami warning immediately followed, as the developing story being reported by international news sites.
As noted by the Japan Meteorological agency via NHK TV, the epicenter of the 7.4-magnitude earthquake is around 40 kilometers (25 miles) under the waters at the Miyagi Prefecture.
Apparently, reports say that the earthquake was felt to as far as Tokyo where buildings shook for about 1 minute, as people living within the affected area are being advised to evacuate quickly to a safer place.
The said earthquake occurred at 11:30 p.m. (Japan time) on Thursday, with the U.S. Geological Survey announcing that its center to be located at 66 kilometers (41 miles) from Sendai, which was among the badly affected areas of last month’s 9.0-magnitude earthquake.
It is also about 118 kilometers (73 miles) from Fukushima, where there is an ongoing nuclear crisis, where latest reports revealed that Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant workers have evacuated from their posts, as the tsunami warning was also issued to Iwate Prefecture.
